Before Your Session
There are a few things to consider with the weeks and days leading up to your session. Many students wonder what they should wear, how they should pose, or are freaking out about a pimple the morning of the session. Shaker Photo has complied a general list of frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your senior portrait session and to help you relax and have fun!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How early should I arrive?
A: Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled time. This will allow you to fill out any paperwork, fix your hair and or makeup, and change. We have a changing room just for you!
Q: I never had my picture professional taken before, what do I do?
A: Relax! It’s our job to creatively guide you throughout the session.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We strongly recommend clothing that fits your personality, try to make sure it fits properly and is wrinkle free!
Q: What about my skin?
A: Try to avoid getting sunburn the days leading into your session, hydrate with fluids like water to help your skin glow! If you have acne, or get a pimple don’t worry! We take care of those free of charge!
Q: What should I do about my hair?
A: We suggest you wear you hair how you normally do. Most get their hair cut and or styled before their session. Try to do this a couple days in advance to let it look a little more natural.
Q: I want my picture with my Cap & Gown but I haven’t received it yet?
A: We got you covered! We have Cap & Gown Colors for most of the schools!
Q: Should I bring anyone?
A: We recommend bringing your parents / guardians. They can help you in the changing rooms to make sure everything is perfect!
Q: Do I need to bring money on the day of the session?
A: Yes, your creative fee will be due. The deposit you pay will be applied to your order.
